Thoughtful, selective, minimal describe this refined renovation and addition.  The added space was kept to a minimum to make just enough space for a slightly enlarged Kitchen and Master Bedroom.  By opening up the ground floor, the space seems to be larger than the sum of its original parts, resulting in a well-proportioned modern living space.  Customized storage spaces such as the hidden kitchen pantry, the ‘charging niche’, and the foyer and master closets are integrated cleanly into the minimal white and white oak aesthetic. The exterior palette complements the interior; the roofline of the addition accentuates the floor plan and uses the iconic residential gable as a focal point for the rear yard.
