This country home sits on a hill amidst an apple and pear orchard. The client purchased the property as an all season country retreat located in a beautiful country setting. This project involved master planning of the site. Working with the existing barn house, we made selective subtractions and additions to allow the timber frame to be more visible as well as make the house more functional. We designed a pool and cabana and a three car garage to fit out the site. The buildings are designed using a rural/industrial design language and are dressed in prefinished white shingles with galvanized trim, roofs and windows.
